Hi, I’m Dana—homeschooling mom of five, homebody at heart, and a big believer that the simple things are often the most meaningful.
When I first became a mom, I imagined homemaking would feel natural and joyful. Instead, I found myself constantly overwhelmed—drowning in endless tasks, messy routines, and the pressure to do it all perfectly.
It was during those exhausting early years that I learned an important truth: homemaking isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing what matters, with intention.
And that’s where real peace begins.
At The Overwhelmed Momma, I share the lessons I’ve learned (and am still learning!) about:
- Simplifying homemaking with grace and small, manageable steps
- From-scratch cooking with wholesome, real ingredients—even on busy days
- Gardening, food storage, and small steps toward self-sufficiency
- Finding joy and confidence in the beautiful, messy rhythms of home life
I don’t believe in chasing perfection.
I believe in creating homes filled with love, purpose, and everyday grace—no matter what season you’re in.
Whether you’re feeling stuck in survival mode, dreaming of a slower way of life, or just needing a little encouragement—you are welcome here.
I’m so glad you found your way here.
