(Because sometimes, friend, 10 minutes is all you’ve got.)
Hey Momma,
If you’re reading this with dishes in the sink and toys on the floor, I want you to know something: you’re not failing. You’re just tired.
Most days, I don’t have hours to deep-clean my home either. But I’ve learned that even a tiny reset—just 10 minutes—can shift the whole atmosphere of my day.
When the chaos feels loud and heavy, this is the routine I come back to again and again. It’s not fancy. It’s not Instagram-perfect. But it works.
🌿 The Ground-Up Method: My 10-Minute Reset
This is my go-to when I feel stuck or overwhelmed at home. Start from the ground and work your way up—it gives you quick, visible wins.
1. Toss in a Load of Laundry (2 min)
I always start with laundry. One quick load makes me feel like I’m moving forward, even if nothing else gets done today.
2. Clear the Floors (3 min)
Pick up toys, shoes, random socks (where do they all come from?). When the floors are clear, the whole room feels lighter—even if the counters are still messy.
3. Wipe One Surface (2 min)
Choose one: your kitchen counter, table, or bathroom sink. I promise, wiping just one spot makes it feel like you did something big.
4. Light a Candle or Open a Window (1 min)
This small sensory reset shifts the mood. Fresh air or a cozy scent makes everything feel calmer—even if nothing else has changed.
5. Take a Deep Breath (2 min)
Step back. Look at what you’ve done. It’s not perfect (it’s not supposed to be!), but it’s progress.
Remember: A little progress is still progress.
💛 Why This Works
This 10-minute reset isn’t about “cleaning your house.”
It’s about creating visual peace—which leads to mental peace. When I can see the floor again or smell that candle, my shoulders drop. I feel steadier.
✨ Your Turn, Momma
Set a timer for 10 minutes today. Start from the floor. Pick one space. One load of laundry. One surface. That’s it.
You’ll be amazed at how something so small can shift your whole day.
