Pour the heavy cream into a saucepan and warm it slowly over medium-low heat.
Once it’s warm (but not boiling), stir in garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Add the shredded parmesan and gently stir until melted and smooth.
If your sauce gets too thick, add a splash of your hot pasta water and stir it in until silky.
Toss with your favorite cooked pasta and serve immediately.
